Fulleda Turisme Actiu offers you the mountain bike route: FULLEDA – ERMITA DE SANT BONIFACI – FULLEDA. A route available at 2 difficulties, moderate and difficult.

The route classified as difficult is 35 kilometres in length and has a positive cumulative gradient of about 900m. A route suitable for cyclists looking for a demanding route, in both the technical difficulties of the route and the significant accumulated positive gradient.

A perfect route for experienced cyclists who want to improve their endurance, technique and who are looking for a somewhat challenging route on their bike. A perfect route to discover the towns of Fulleda and Vinàixa, including a visit to emblematic places such as the hermitage of Sant Bonifaci and the unique Font de les Ventoses, Font del Mas Blanc, the dry-stone hut of Puig de l’Ermità, Bassa empedrada del Barril del Montanyés, lo Puig, covering a good number of path types.

Starting at the Town Hall Fulleda, we will cover a small urban section passing by Plaça de Ramon Santamaria and carrer de la Bassa before breaking off to the left towards Fondo dels Pous and Comellar d’en Piquer. We will then continue uphill to Plans de l’Arboç, continuing along Planota, Mirona and heading down to Vall dels Corrals by the side of Font del Cinto. Precaution on this path is advisable due to the usually muddy conditions caused by natural water springs.

Here, we will edge our way along Vall dels Cortals, passing by Font de les Ventoses to the left towards Cabana de l’Elies and ascending towards the Carreteres section. Here we take the Bosquet path (low/medium difficulty) which will take us past Punta del Dugo (624 m), before following Camí de les Carreteres. After passing the Pipeline, we will enter the forest to the right until we find Camí de les Carreteres (medium/high difficulty ) that will take us to the side of Cabana del Roc de l’Espluga. It is important to follow the GPS at this point whilst following the bike path. We will follow the path until reaching Pla del Corral de l’Ametller where we will take another path leading along Bertran of Cal Ferrer de Fulleda. We will follow the path to Bertrans before turning right on to a paved track (low / medium difficulty) that goes from L’Espluga Calba to Vinaixa.

At the departure of the cave, we will break to the right, crossing Fondo Major, La Partida dels Diumenges, the train track and heading on to the path of Sant Bonifaci. This path is an ascent to a crossroads. Here, we turn left and start the descent to Coma Escudella where you will ascend once again to Cabana de lo Puig de l’Ermità, skirting along Punta de lo Puig (575m). We will cross Putjos and turn left to find Fondo de Comenterroges along an old path. We will continue crossing the parts of Oliveres del Maginet and Planes del Sastre until we reach the dry-stone reservoir of Barril del Muntanyès. We will continue towards Cabana del Tomàs where we will turn right, then to the left following the path of Fondo de Barrils until we finding Camí de Barrils. Here, we will find the old Camí de Barrils that will take us towards Camí dels Plans de les Teixeres. We will follow this path until we reach the path at Serra de Barrils (medium-high difficulty) where we will start the descent to Ermita de Sant Bonifaci.

Then, continuing towards Vinaixa track in l’Espluga Calba towards Vinaixa, we find the Corner of Vinuelles, where we will turn left and begin the ascent towards Camí de les Carreteres. We will continue along Camí Vell de Vinaixa in l’Espluga Calba, passing by Font del Mas Blanc before make a sharp turn to the right to take Camí de Coma de Sant Pere that will take us along Serra de l’Argelagar to Fulleda, back to the same place where we started the route.
