On the day of the march, usually the first weekend in March, you can enjoy a signposted tour, refreshments and sandwiches at the finish line and many more surprises along the way. Have you already tried the Heroic March?
The 30-kilometer route has an initial urban section inside the picturesque village of Fulleda, passing by Plaça de Ramon Santamaria and continuing along Carrer la Bassa before leaving the village. To the left, we take a path descending towards Fondo dels Pous, a perfect place to photograph Fulleda and observe the magnificence of this background which connects with Comellar d’en Piquer. Then, we follow the path towards the end of Plans de l’Arboç, Font d’en Salat and continue towards Planota, we will continue onwards to Mirona and pass by the Font del Cinto, you can identify this spring by the visible water seen along the way. We will continue towards Vall dels Cortals, where we will pass by Font de les Ventoses and continue the march through Fondo dels Pous to the cabin of Elies. At this point, we will leave the path of Font de la Marieta and begin the Bosquet trail. This will take us to Comellar d’en Metge, passing by a dry-stone hut, without a roof, where we will be able to observe a couple of troughs carved into the stone. We will follow the path until we reach Les Carreteres and there we will take the route leading to Cabana del Roc de l’Espluga. Continuing, we will find Camí de les Carreteres again, and take a path towards the Pipeline. Here we will turn to the left passing by the bottom of the valley until finding Camí dels Bertrans, turning to the right. We will continue along this path until deviating from the Masos path, and leading towards Vall dels Masos following some high voltage towers. After a few metres we will find the track of Vinaixa als Omellons – caution! We will follow the track for a few meters until reaching the part of the Cave where the path allows the crossing at Fondo Major. We will then pass the Plot of Sunday, crossing the train track through a tunnel and returning in the direction of Camí de Sant Bonifaci. Following this route until we find Creu de Terme, we will turn right until reaching Coma Escudella. Here, we begin the ascent towards Pla del Puig del Tarròs, passing by Lo Puig and Cabana del Puig de l’Ermità before veering to the left to reach the Comenterroges path. When reaching the bottom of the path, we cross Fondo de Comenterroges above the river bank. We then follow the path bordering the estate until reaching Oliverets del Maginet. Once in Barril’s dry-stone reservoir, we turn left until finding Cabana del Tomàs. Here, we turn right, crossing Fondo de Barrils until finding Serra de Barrils path. We follow this path until arriving at the path to the Hermitage of Sant Bonifaci. Leaving Sant Bonifaci behind us, we continue until finding the track of Vinaixa als Omellons, continuing to the right until the corner of Vinuelles. Here, we turn left and we go up towards the Plot of Vinuelles where we will find a cabin of Volta. We will follow the path and turn right towards Camí de les Carreteres, turning left towards Camí Vell de Vinaixa in l’Espluga and continuing until we pass by Font del Mas Blanc. At this point, we turn right at the path of Coma de Sant Pere that will take us to Sierra de Servers, passing Punta de l’Argelagar, Castell de Fulleda and then heading down to the starting point at Fulleda Town Hall.
