This route that is part of the series of routes named “La pedra calcària” and consists of 5 kilometers, allowing you to discover the surrounding area of Fulleda, discovering some of the natural springs, a vaulted hut and much of the dryland and vineyard landscapes that characterize this landscape. It is a route that runs entirely on wide roads without the presence of trails.
The 5-kilometer route starts from Avenida de Agustina Zaragoza towards the square where the statue of Agustina de Aragón is located. The route takes the road towards Tarrés, caution is advised at this point. The road is followed for about 100 meters before we turn right past the Racó del Bolet. Here you can see a monument commemorating the events of a fateful February 12, 1939, when five children between the ages of 12 and 16 died due to the explosion of an abandoned bomb box during the Civil War. We continue towards Camí de Montblanc, along the Plans de l’Arborç, heading downwards towards Font d’en Salat and continuing along Fondo de la Planota, passing by a vaulted hut until reaching Vall dels Cortals. We cross the Fondo dels Pous, pass by the Font de les Ventoses and go towards Fulleda, passing by Carrer de la Bassa and Plaça de Ramon Santamaria.
This route is perfect for people looking to ride on a mountain bike in an easy mode, without complications and on a terrain of easy progression, perfect for a summer evening to anticipate the “golden” time or with the family groups at any time of the day. It is recommended not to drink water from springs as they do not have adequate sanitation. A perfect opportunity to discover the paths and valleys that form the municipality of Fulleda.
