Fulleda Turisme Actiu offers you this route in “BTT” mode: “La pedra calcaría” a short 34 km route with 650m of accumulated positive gradient. A circular route which starts and ends in Fulleda and is designed to follow counter-clockwise.

This route, which is part of the series of routes of “La pedra calcària”, consists of 34 kilometers and allows you to discover the surroundings of the town of Fulleda. kilometer 21. It is a route that passes much of the route by wide roads, also and we will find trails with some difficulty and that is why we have classified the route as moderate / difficult.

The 34-kilometer route starts on Avenida de Agustina Zaragoza towards the square where the statue of Agustina de Aragón is located. There it crosses Carrer de Montblanc and continues along a paved track towards La Pinedeta del Po. It skirts around Comellar d’en Giner, descending towards Fondo de les Auberedes before reaching a GR that rises towards the Serra de les Auberedes parallel to Costa de la Cirera. Once we reach the top of the Sierra, the route turns left and passes the Costa de la Cirera, this path was an old section renovated by Fulleda Turisme Actiu during spring / summer of the year 2020. We continue straight on and turn right towards Obac de Matallonga path until we reach Fondo de Matallonga. We cross the Fondo and continue up towards Pla de la Bassa, following the same path until we reach Pla de Fulleda where we turn right to take the path that will lead us to Corral del Queralt. At this stage, we reach Fondo de Matallonga before starting the ascent along Fondo de Rocabisbal. We take Racó del Magí towards Camí de Tarrés in Senan, continuing along the ridge at Camí dels Plans, towards Camí de les Catalanes where we will take a path leading down to Fondo dels Pouets and towards the departure of Les Tortes and entering Espluga Calba. Leaving Espluga, we will cross the road that goes from Fulleda to Les Borges Blanques, we ask for caution at this point. We will continue straight on along the Vinaixa track to l’Espluga Calba, we will turn right onto Camí de les Portelles de Dalt, passing by an impressive shelter. We will continue towards Mas Blanc, crossing the Portella del Dalmau and the Portella del Rei where we will continue towards Mas Blanc along Camí de les Carreteres. We then head up towards Mirador de les Garrigues, a spectacular viewpoint. Here, we pass by Punta del Dugo and we will start the descent towards Vall dels Cortals. We will cross the valley and go to Fondo de the Planota passing by a vaulted hut built of dry stone. We will go up the Plans de l’Arboç, where we continue downwards towards Fondo dels Pous before commencing the steep climb to Fulleda. We will pass by Carrer de la Bassa, Plaça de Ramon Santamaria and end at Av. by Agustina Zaragoza.

This route is perfect for demanding people looking to ride on wide roads as well as enjoying the trails that are found along the route. In general it is a terrain of moderate progression with some difficult part of progression that if we are not used to it, will make us get off the bike. Perfect for a getaway either with your mountain bike or with your Gravel bike, perfect for discovering what Fulleda and its surroundings have to offer. A perfect opportunity to discover the paths and valleys that form the municipality of Fulleda.
