Fulleda Turisme Actiu offers this route in “Trail” mode: “Trail el Mas Blanc” route of 30 km with 960 m of accumulated positive gradient. A circular route with start and end in Fulleda and designed to follow counter clockwise.
The route which makes up part of “El Trail Mas Blanc” consists of 30 kilometres and allows you to discover much of the town of Fulleda and Tarrés with many sections of trail over the hilltops with many great views. This would also be suitable for hiking with very high level difficulty.
The 30-kilometer route has an initial urban section inside the picturesque village of Fulleda, leaving Avinguda d’Agustina Zaragoza towards Plaça de Ramon Santamaria, Carrer la Bassa following a paved section until the track turns left towards a steep descent that will take you to Fondo dels Pous. You will leave the Fondo and climb towards the Plans de l’Arboç where you will turn right towards La Planota. You will then continue towards La Mirona, passing Font del Cinto. Be careful at this point, as the ground tends to be quite muddy due to the spring! You will continue towards Vall dels Cortals, cross it and follow a path that will take you to the pipeline, there you will take a path that will lead to the Les Carreteres (587.3 m) and follow the path until you reach Camí de les Carreteres. Following this path you will the Bertrans section. Following the path to the right along the Vinuelles section, heading upwards towards Camí de les Carreteres, we turn left on to Racó de Vinuelles. Here, we will make a very short stretch of road (30 meters ) and go up towards Cabana dels Bertrans del Ferrer Vell by the pipeline, following the GR for a short distance. At this stage, we follow the path that surrounds Racó dels Bertrans until reaching the Cabana del Bertran del Rosso heading downwards towards Racó. Here, heading up towards the pipeline, we turn right before making another right onto an old heading downwards towards Racó dels Bertrans (take caution as the ground tends to be muddy due to the spring). Take a path on the other side of Racó that will take you to the Mas del Pubill section. Here, we continue along the Bertran de Cal Ferrer de Fulleda, taking the pipeline again on to Camí de les Carreteres , we will pass by Punta del Dugo (624.5 m), continuing and then passing by Punta de Ràfols (653.1 m) on to Camí dels Pujos. We then break to the on to a path that follows the power line until we reach Cisterna de la Ginera del Xifrenet. Here, we leave the Putjos path to the right and enter an empty field leading on to Fondo dels Massos. At the top of Reboll de l’Engràcia we will reach a centenary tree of recommended visit and point of passage for other routes by Fulleda Active Tourism. We will then follow a path that will take us to the Racó de Moscarró and there we will start the ascent along a path towards Plans de Tarrés, passing by the charming paths that form the route of Forns de Calç. We will leave Plans de Tarrés along the route of Forns de Calç until we reach Comes de Montgral, turning right along the pipeline and following Pedrera del Palau towards Serra del Penjat (663 m), from where you can enjoy magnificent views of Fulleda and its surroundings. We will leave Serra del Penjat by following the Pipeline, turning right until we reach Font d’en Salat, where we will start the ascent towards Plans de l’Arborç along Camí de Montblanc. The last 300 meters are by road to reach Fulleda, so we ask for caution in this section. A perfect route for those looking to spend a pleasant time discovering the peculiarities of the municipality of Fulleda and Les Garrigues.
This route is perfect for people who are experienced in Trail running and who are already used to running these distances and this level. There are some stretches of difficult progression, but overall, it is an affordable and beautiful route. It is recommended not to drink water from springs, as these do not have adequate sanitation. A perfect opportunity to discover the paths and valleys that form the municipality of Fulleda.
